which one is better?
Being in the high-volume outbound space, I’ve noticed a negative stigma around manual prospecting since it’s not “scalable” or automated.
Though this is true, manual & personalized account-based prospecting is still one of the most powerful outbound methods and will continue to work FOREVER.
I’ve noticed that companies are hard-set on either doing one or the other, claiming that “cold email is dead” or “manual prospecting is a waste of time”, when in reality orgs should embrace both as they are both effective channels.
Ideally you ram cold emails at scale like a madman, while also dedicating an hour or 2 to manual prospecting.
I know founders to 6-7 figs per month that still dedicate 30 mins to 1 hour just starting conversations with their ICP.
Whichever it be that you’re neglecting, automated outbound or manual prospecting, you’re 1000% leaving money on the table by not doing both in tandem.
